Duncan Borrowman condemns BNP candidate for outrageous comments on rape1.14.00am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 2nd Apr 2008 Duncan Borrowman, the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Old Bexley & Sidcup, has condemned a leading BNP candidate in this May's London Assembly elections for his foul depiction of rape. The candidate, Nick Eriksen, is the BNP's London organiser and the second-highest candidate on its list for the Assembly. He could be elected to the London Assembly if the BNP get just 7% of the vote in London. In an anonymous Internet blog posting, revealed by the Evening Standard as coming from Mr Eriksen, he said: "I've never understood why so many men have allowed themselves to be brainwashed by the feminazi myth machine into believing that rape is such a serious crime ... Rape is simply sex. Women enjoy sex, so rape cannot be such a terrible physical ordeal. "To suggest that rape, when conducted without violence, is a serious crime is like suggesting that forcefeeding a woman chocolate cake is a heinous offence. A woman would be more inconvenienced by having her handbag snatched. "The demonisation of rape is all part of the feminazi desire to obtain power and mastery over men. Men who go along with the rape myth are either morons or traitors." Mr Borrowman said: "If elected this man can use the London Assembly as a mouthpiece. This man, who if you are a woman thinking of voting BNP, could be representing you. Do people really want a man with these views having a leading role in running London? His comments are vile."
